Happy New Year, everyone! I know we're all feeling pretty glad that 2017 is over and done... but how are you feeling as you move into 2018? Or, more importantly how do you WANT to feel??Â
For those of you how work with me as a coach, you know I'm often referring to "feeling-state" and how to learn to utilize it as a driving force behind most (if not all) of what you do. So, if you're the resolution/intention/goal-setting type, consider asking yourself these questions first:
How do I want to feel:
- in my daily life?
- in my relationships with others?
- in my relationship with myself?
- in my body?
- in my work?
Once you've figured out how you want to feel, you'll be better able to include and/or exclude things that don't line you right up with those feeling-states. Set your resolutions and goals for yourself from there. Then, take a look at this super interesting article from the Wall Street Journal about TIMING your daily activities to reach optimal happiness. Let me know how it goes!Â
**NEW OFFERING**
I am really excited to announce a new offering at The Apiary! Starting in February, I will be leading new group immersion called The Hive Dive - a deep-dive into yogic philosophy & methodology, meditation, and aspects of life coaching in order to integrate our practice into the day-to-day, moment-to-moment experience of life. We will use direct experience, reflection, reading, journaling, discussion, and practices that will help us understand how yoga and meditation are tools that can (and should) support us in life itself. The program will include:
-
Six in-person group meetings (Sundays, 4-5:30pm; Feb 4th, March 4th, April 8th, May 6th, June 10th &  July 1st)
-
Private Facebook group for discussions and occasional Facebook Live sessions
-
Assigned readings & opportunities for journaling, reflection and feedback
- One personalized 1:1 session with me (can include coaching, yoga and/or meditation)
The program will be limited to 10 participants.
If you are interested in learning more or being a part of The Hive Dive, shoot me an email and I'll add you to the list of recipients who will have access to the application first.Â
, always.

The Annual Spring Yoga & Meditation Retreat
This has easily become one of my most anticipated experiences each year and what I refer to as a "macro" form of self-care. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a multi-day retreat entirely intended to replenish you, to fill you up in mind, body, and soul. The effects of attending such a retreat linger throughout the rest of the year.Â
The retreat includes twice-daily yoga classes, morning and evening meditation, an amazing community of practitioners, and truly nutritious and delicious food prepared in-house by the extraordinary Ayurvedic-inspired Chef, Mary Silcox... all at the one-of-a-kind Heartstone Lodge, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.Â
(Photo above: early morning coffee at one of the fire pits at Heartstone. I can't wait to be there again!)
