Hello Lovely Humans:

My greatest wish for each of you as you welcome in a new year, a new decade and, really, the unfolding of new moment after new moment is that you create the space to kindly and compassionately tend to places inside of yourself where you feel pain, where you separate.

We often hear the expression, "hurt people hurt people," after major tragedy, after an individual inflicts pain, terror, havoc on others. And I really believe it to be true. I certainly know that, over the years, I've come to learn that it is the broken places in me that break things. The parts of me that are hurt, sad, shut-off REACT in anger, rage, emotional disconnection. My broken heart breaks hearts. Most of these places are unconsciously and subconsciously held in me, unseen until seen. Held until dissolved through the repetition of seeing them over and over again and choosing something other than the habitual response. And then it's healed... and no longer hurts -- inside or out.

And, so, what I also believe to be true is that healed people heal people. Each of us has the potential to heal ourselves SO THAT we can move out into the world more healed, causing less hurt and with the capacity to heal others. This is both a tremendous gift and the greatest responsibility of our lifetimes.

I hope that you can join me for any of my upcoming workshops, series or classes this coming year to begin or continue your self-exploration. As Carl Jung says, "until we make the unconscious conscious it directs our life and we call it fate."

Here's to intentional & conscious lives.

Intro to Meditation
4-Week Series
@ Lucid Living

Tuesdays, 11am-12pm

1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28

REGISTER HERE!

I'm thrilled to, once again, be offering a 4-week introduction to seated practice!

Join me for 4 hour-long sessions in January to gain a better understanding of what meditation "is" and "isn't," as well as learn how to gradually anchor yourself in the present moment. We will explore meditation in incremental steps with plenty of opportunity for questions and guidance. And we will have the opportunity to discuss some of the most common misconceptions about what is "supposed to happen" during and as a result of your practice.

Seated practice allows us to learn about ourselves, about these wonderful and wild minds of ours, and about our humanness. Seated practice can provide us with the space to feel a deeper sense of wellbeing, vitality, and groundedness.

Early Bird (before 12/31): $80
Regular Rate (after 12/31): $100

Weekly Meditation & Life Coaching Group

This group will combine meditation and life coaching tools along with the support and presence of a group of committed individuals to help guide individuals in personal growth and transformation. My hope with this new group program is to support the continuing work of my many clients over the years as well as to bring a form of coaching work to others from whom 1:1 coaching isn't a feasible option.

This weekly group will be limited to 8 people and will meet on Thursdays from 11:30am-12:30pm starting on January 9th! Accepted participants will commit to an initial 8-week schedule with the option to continue to each 8-week session onwards. Space is filling up - message me with questions if you have them!

As many of you know, I had the honor of being the keynote speaker at this month’s Mindful Mornings. I spoke about resilience and how it’s connected to compassion. And about how compassion is the starting point for connection and connection the impetus for action - moving out into the world for positive change.

I don’t know about you all but when I see and experience suffering in the world, I feel incredibly compelled to move toward the suffering to create change in some way and, yet, can get awfully tangled up in a mess of inner wrestling and confusion... What to do? Where to go? How to help? Will I help or will I hurt? Do I know enough? Am I strong enough? Will it matter? Is it enough? All of this creates a form of paralysis which can potentially keep us from taking meaningful action in the world.

My life’s work to this point, I can honestly say, has led to this workshop - the foundational desire to help people see and undo that which is keeping themselves from moving out into the world, more consciously, in order to heal and affect positive change.

ONGOING PRACTICE OPPORTUNITIES

Donation-Based Meditation
@ Lucid Living
Mondays, 7:15-8pm

Meditation is a state of being. We practice by sitting down, getting quiet and learning how to harness and direct our attention, waking us up to the full experience of the life again and again. As a result, we begin to actually be IN life, experiencing it fully. Seated practice allows us to learn about ourselves, about these wonderful and wild minds of ours, and about our humanness. Seated practice can provide us with the space to feel a deeper sense of wellbeing, vitality, and groundedness.

Join me for a donation-based meditation practice every Monday evening from 7:15-8pm. The practice will include 35 minutes of guided meditation and 10 minutes for guidance at the end of the sit.

Suggested donation range: $5-$20
New participants will need to complete a waiver and can do so here.
