Annual Wellness Retreat
{yoga, meditation, coaching}

May 16-19, 2019

Bliss Farm & Retreat,
Barnardsville, NC

This gorgeous working farm and retreat center sits on over 50 acres of land just outside of Asheville, NC. All food is local, organic and farm-to-table and is prepared in-house buy the couple who runs the farm. Menu will be customized to our retreat - meeting all of your dietary needs and preferences.

There are several accommodation options including private cabins, B&B rooms, and these amazing "glamping" style bell tents (which I'm currently obsessed with) and also amazing add-ons like reiki and massage.

Invitations for the retreat will go out to all of my past retreaters within the next couple of days but if you'd like to be on the first-to-know list for space available after that, please let me know!  I'll be sending details by the end of the week.

In the spirit of taking time to take care of ourselves, I'd like to encourage you to take a look at your self-care practices. We (you and the greater global community) need it now more than ever. Here's a short blog I wrote on why self-care is so important during times like these...

Although I love what I refer to as "macro" forms of self-care, like my annual wellness retreat, I am an even bigger believer in "micro" forms of self-care.

These are small things that you can do daily that make a big impact on your life. These things can be very tangible external things, like taking time to manage your finances, to have an honest conversation with someone that you've been trying to avoid, buying your regular supplements that you ran out of a week ago, choosing to engage in LESS screen time.

They can also be internal things that help to settle and relax your nervous system like pausing and noticing your breath, relaxing your jaw and the backs of your eyes, disrupting negative thought patterns by shifting your attention to something neutral, getting outside for some fresh air... These micro forms of self-care are cumulative and the directly impact the way we perceive and respond to reality.  So, I hope you'll join me in creating more time and space to take care of yourself and take care of your world.

ALSO (and perhaps one of our most important acts of self-care): MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO VOTE ON NOV 6th!! Today is the LAST day to register to vote in Virginia. If you're not sure if you're registered, you can check here (takes 30 seconds) and register (takes 2 minutes) if you're not already.

, always.

#slowyourscroll

This is my effort to disrupt the super negative self-perceptions that arise for so many people while engaging in social media.

So many amazing people I know—brilliant, kind, bold, interesting, powerful, full-hearted clients and students and friends—are struggling with self-doubt, feelings of failing (at alllllll the things), self-hate, never-good-enough beliefs. And while a lot of that can be explored more, it is most certainly and directly connected to their time spent on social media.

And I. AM. OVER. IT.

Social media is an amazing place. It can inspire. It can empower. It can connect. And if it’s NOT feeling that way to you, I encourage you to stop... to pause... to put your phone down and begin to move back into what’s actually real - your life.

I’ll be posting more #slowyourscroll images and I encourage you to share... help me interrupt the scroll that is crushing so many people who have so much to offer the world.
