is slowness in opposition to abundance?
or do we need to reframe what fills our creative cup?

Forever grappling with the desire to create and share fervently and the desire to create and share slowly. Is the speed at which you produce something the deciding factor of whether a creative practice nurtures you or consumes you?
I know I am a writer. There are so many words I want to say to you. But it’s the formation of them that’s my problem, I think—birthing them from the mind to the paper to the screen. Turning thoughts into concrete concepts meant to be understood by more than just me. I want to share them with you. I want to share them with you often, and it’s the “often” that fights back, pushes itself away, and resists.
I haven’t found the balance yet- the healthiest way for me to show up. Slowly or abundantly? So much about existing nowadays is striving not to be forgotten. But in that fear, I don’t want to lose myself either. So I take a deep breath and acknowledge the messy middle. I write these letters to you when I can form the words, and I hope the notification of a sent email will remind you that my words may resonate with you yet.

This month i’m participating in a junk journal challenge happening on youtube that’s hosted by Meg (https://www.youtube.com/@megjournals).
I like responding to the prompts by writing haikus/senryus and then collaging in response to my writing. I’m hoping to pop in here a little more often this month to share them with you. I’m not sure how they will manifest, but I wanted to share in an effort to hold myself accountable to the idea. As always, thank you for reading <3
