is approval voting strategyproof?

this is a “redo” of one of my first posts on Approval which i wanted to make more concise and well-sourced. i hope that you enjoy it, and find it illuminating.
in other blog news: i have (re)added the projects page to my site
which includes some of the coding projects i’ve been doing recently. one i want to highlight is a “satisficing voter model” i am working on, which you can test. essentially, it asks
how well does a voting system aggregate preferences (VSE) when voters don’t know what they want and are easily fatigued by the ballot?
i’ve already gotten some great feedback thus far, which i’m using to try to improve it incrementally. feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments. later on, i’ll write a blog post about my conclusions from the model (it has changed my perspective on Approval Top 2, for one thing).
stay bodacious,
taylor
