I'm Back! And it's my Birthday.
Post-surgery update: slowing down, shifting to quarterly emails, and speaking at literary events.

Hey Friend!
It feels like such a long time since I’ve written this newsletter, but it’s really only been about 8 weeks. Time flies! I have mostly recovered from my surgery, and now I’m getting back into the swing of things.
Part of getting back into it is adjusting my process. Resting for six weeks post-surgery made me realize just how exhausted I am and how wound tight I have been. So I’m adjusting my process and my plans for the remainder of the year, starting with this newsletter! I am going to move to quarterly emails rather than monthly, so you’ll hear from me at the end of each quarter. My next email will be in December!
I will let you know if anything cool comes up in the meantime, so you may see breakthrough emails. I’m headed into a sort of hibernation season. I will be doing things, but a little more chill than I’m used to.
It is my birthday on September 1st, so if you want to order some of my work as a present, I’m not going to stop you :).
I haven’t been writing, I’ve just been recovering and thinking about future writing :).

Due to my health challenges I had to reschedule my reading at Stir in SF. I’ll now be there October 1st, come see me! This reading series takes place at Cafe Suspiro in San Francisco. There is a coffee happy hour from 5-6 and then then a reading and panel from 6-7ish. I’d love to see you there if you’re free. I’ll be reading from Shatter the Sun!
