Build Night Friday, a new mural, and more

Hey Makers!
Open Build Night is this Friday, October 9, from 8pm–11pm. Bring a project, get help with a repair at Fixit Clinic, or stop by to meet other makers and see what everyone is working on. It’s free and open to everyone, with no membership or signup required. Members are gearing up for Halloween this month on Fridays, so bringing an idea or costume.

Find us at 1619 San Pablo Ave in Berkeley. We have a new mural by Jacob Davenport at the shop, so come take a look while you’re here!

A BUSY SEPTEMBER
Last month we were out at three great events: the Kits Cubed STEM Fair, the 50th Solano Stroll, and Maker Faire Bay Area— where EBMC won two Blue Ribbons.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for giving your time to support EBMC: Jimmy Tran, Jordan Wilheim, Kim Taylor, Leona Cheng, Nicholas Beyer, Philip T, and James Magahern. Having people willing to show up, share their enthusiasm, and introduce the club to the community means a lot. We’re building this together, and we really appreciate you being part of it.
Check out our Instagram for photos from the events, and follow along to see what’s happening at the shop.

We’re adding more opportunities to learn the tools and put your skills into practice— with a big focus on CAD, CAM, and CNC right now. Getting members certified to use the big machines.
See the schedule for registration, membership requirements, and prerequisites.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME GROUP
Members: join us every Friday in October, 4pm–7pm, to work on your costume, build together, and get inspired. This Friday you can stick around afterward for Build Night at 8pm.

Feel free to reach out with any questions. Hope you can make it out Friday!
