Eagles Select - ZLL "Big Sister" Program Update
We had 15 players sign-up to participate in the Eagles Select - ZLL "Big Sister" program!
This program is where an older Eagles Select player is paired with a ZLL rec team of a younger age group to help mentor them through the season.
As I've been out at the park this week, it's been awesome seeing all the Eagles Select players helping out at practices and working with our ZLL players.

Alliance
We have four teams in Alliance play this weekend in Cicero and at Lions Park.
USSSA 12th Annual Battle of the Bats
Four teams will play in the Battle of the Bats this weekend in both Greenwood and Edinburgh.
Eagles Select - ZLL Clinic
The 2012 team will be putting on a clinic for ZLL rec players on Saturday at Lions Park as a fundraiser for their national tournament. This is the first time we've tried this and a huge thank you to Coach Amy Knue for the idea and Coach Melissa Wong for organizing and putting it together. If it is well received, then next year we may expand this to more teams as an organizational fundraiser.
We hope this has a similar impact as the Eagles Select - ZLL "Big Sister" program in creating a bigger connection and more awareness between ZLL and Eagles Select. Many ZLL families do not know anything about Eagles Select beyond receiving an email at the end of the season letting them know tryouts are coming up. This gives the players a chance to interact with Eagles Select players directly and become more familiar with the program.
