we’re writing this to you from Brooklyn, where the magnolias & cherry blossoms have bloomed & fallen. warm storms keep rolling past, all of us bracing for a sharp turn into summer.

we’ve welcomed the emergence from an unseasonably snowy, dark, & difficult winter. we sharpened our organizing skills, fed each other from big pots, & dared to make creative reimaginings out of crisis. to no one's surprise, dancemaking in our shared living continued to be our most effective (& joyful) tool in finding a way through.

we’re hoping to occasionally use this newsletter as a tool to connect with you to share what we’ve been cooking up & the dance work (live + digital) that's been keeping us inspired. (you can unsubscribe here at any time.)

we've shared some details about UPROOTED & upcoming events below. if you’re moved to support our work more directly, you can make a tax-deductible donation towards our 2026 production, programming, & organizing costs here. donations maintain our practice of using performance proceeds to platform & fundraise for local mutual aid groups. we're aiming to raise $3k to cover costs & thank you for even considering joining us for the ride!

UPROOTED is coming up next weekend (May 15th & 16th) at Stone Circle Theater - TWO NIGHTS & two entirely unique sets of new live music & dance collaborations by queer + trans artists.

we invite you into our explorations, experiments, & embodiments of paradise. as we witness the ongoing erosion of freedom, pleasure, & care, how do we continue to build paradise for ourselves & our communities? what does it feel like in our bodies? what are the maps (new & inherited) that get us there?

proceeds from both performances go to Mi Tlalli to support their critical organizing efforts to protect our neighbors. their work reminds us that are no borders in paradise.
