Welcome to the Middle
Whether you have 10 or 10,000 people on your list, your Substack is a place for people to follow your work. You can start by emailing a link to your Substack (https://dylangreif.substack.com) to a handful of friends or colleagues that you’d like to keep in touch with. Or share your publication on social media. If you’re thinking about turning on payments, check out the “Going Paid” guide on our resources page. We’ve generally found that it’s best to focus on building your email list and developing a writing rhythm before going paid, so you can make the most out of your launch.

For more guides on building and growing your Substack publication, check out our resources page. It includes tutorials on topics such as podcasts, your About page, and analytics; as well as stories of how other writers did it, such as Casey Newton on doing a job for your readers and Scott Hines on getting your first 1,000 signups.
