I’ve been writing about haiku a lot lately. It’s an accessible poetic form that is easy to learn. But it is also a powerful tool for practical writing, and it can even become part of a deep spiritual practice.

Plus, it’s just plain fun!

On Wednesday, I’ll be sharing some more about the history and art of haiku, and we’ll be writing and sharing haiku and other tiny poems in a way that I think you’ll enjoy.

I could call this a workshop, but it’s really a haiku party modeled on an ancient 17th-century Japanese tradition, updated for our modern times.

I’m holding it at the Nook, a magical new “living room for the arts” in downtown SF.
