Come hear how you can get involved with: - Our 14 DWeb Nodes in cities from Singapore to Vancouver. - Distributed.Press that makes it easy to publish on the decentralized web - Funding the Commons — whose mission is to build sustainable models for public goods builders; their next gathering is in Instabul Nov. 15 - ZuSocial, the group hosting HackerHouse.social at DevConnect in Instanbul Nov 5-19th - DWeb + Coolab Camp Brazil reports back on its experiments in regenerative community
Following the main portion of the event, we will move over to Gather.town for an informal virtual hang out to meet each other and re-connect with peers.

DWeb In-Person Meetup: Co-Creation & the Distributed Web
November 2 at 5-9PM PT
THEN FOR OUR BAY AREA MEMBERS: Come share a meal, great conversation, and a new #P2P Game for creatives!
DETAILS: What new forms of creativity will the Decentralized Web unleash? Come play a new peer-to-peer (P2P) NFT game for creators of all kinds!
Join us for an evening of play and discovery sponsored by DWeb SF, Holochain and the Internet Archive, where you’ll have a chance to create on a collaborative canvas (like a distributed r/place) and experience P2P software in real-time.
Holochain will be showcasing some of their recently released apps including Fractal Tribute, where multiple creators work on collaborative canvases & easily mint NFTs where value is distributed proportionately to one's creative contributions.
BRING a laptop if you want to play with these P2P apps on your own device. After that, we’ll break into some small group circles to explore the creative possibilities you see for the future of the decentralized web.
OR, if you can’t make it in-person, you can still play along from wherever you are in the world! We’ll share a link about how to participate before the event via the Dweb Twitter/X account. Check for posts in the Pacific time morning. The game will last for 24 hours.
WHEN: Thursday, November 2 - 5:00-9:00pm PT WHERE: Internet Archive, 300 Funston Ave. San Francisco, CA 94118
