Support Access to Knowledge: Call on Publishers to Let Readers Read
More than 500,000 books have been removed from the Internet Archive’s library due to the Hachette v. Internet Archive publishers’ lawsuit. The Internet Archive is fighting to restore access to knowledge by appealing the district court’s decision. The goal of the appeal is simply to: let readers continue to access the information they want and need; to bring us closer to a world where libraries can serve their communities online with collections financed through public investment; and above all, where library patrons are free to read without fear of corporate or government surveillance. Find out more about the lawsuit and its impact here.
Your voice matters—support the fight by signing the open letter to publishers calling on them to restore readers’ access to knowledge.
