Details on DWeb Camp 2019

Coming this July:

DWeb Camp 2019

For the first time ever, the Internet Archive is hosting DWeb Camp, a community-built event July 18-21, on a beautiful private farm one hour south of San Francisco. Come imagine, debate, hack and co-create the technologies, laws, markets and values we need to build a better Web.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Camp opens Thursday, July 18 at 1pm and ends Sunday, July 21 at 2pm.
  • Located on a private farm 1 hour south of San Francisco & 1 hour west of San Jose.
  • Cost: will be on a sliding scale from $200 to $1200.
  • Volunteers can apply to help us build the camp from July 15-22, and qualify for a 50-100% rebate.
  • Registration opens in mid-April and will be limited to 500 campers.
  • Families are welcome. Children 12 and under are free.

Our website, DWebCamp.org will be up by mid-April.  There you'll be able to propose projects, apply to be a volunteer or for financial aid. Meanwhile, get involved in co-creating the camp via our GitHub repositories. And learn how to plan for DWeb Camp by clicking below.
