Decentralization meets AI this Wednesday at the Internet Archive
Decentralization meets AI at our Wednesday meetup
AI is here—what does that mean for the Decentralized Web? This year, we're exploring the idea of Distributed AI and how to bridge between these two areas of technology.
Come to the DWeb SF May 2023 in-person meetup at the Internet Archive in SF where we'll meet people working at the intersection of Decentralized Tech and AI. We'll hear from Mozilla's SVP of Innovation Ecosystems, Imo Udom about the Mozilla.ai campaign to build trustworthy and open AI. Come learn about Responsible Builders Challenge, with $100,000 in prizes and a 1-day in-person event on May 31 to inspire and support a community of builders working on Trustworthy AI products and solutions.
We’ll also have an Applied AI developer from OpenAI (creators of the Large Language Model, ChatGPT) who will show us how to use OpenAI’s APIs, open source code base Whisper, and more. Shyamal Anadkat will be on hand to provide an overview of OpenAI's developer tools and some of the features of ChatGPT that coders can use to enhance their work.
Next, one of our DWeb Community members and open source contributor, James Baicoianu, who is also a principal engineer at Stability AI will share the importance of open data and decentralization to Stability's work. Ask him about Stability's (many) new open source tools. Friends from HuggingFace will also make an appearance.
PLUS OUR FEATURED TALK: Open Standards for AI: Can we Save the Web? Finally, join us as Mark Nadal shares his new project, SecureRender, a privacy preserving standard for running cross-origin games, AI models, compute, and neural graphics.
We'll tell you about the exciting projects & conversations about the nexus of decentralization and AI that will features at DWeb Camp! OpenAI is a top sponsor and will be engaging with developers, policymakers, artists and researchers all week long.
See you Wednesday for food, fun, cocktails, networking and Decentralized AI.
