LazyVim For Ambitious Developers: Chapter 18 Released
Hi everyone,
I just got Chapter 18 uploaded. It’s largely an introduction to Neo-test, a plugin for running tests from inside Neovim. I’d never used it before writing this chapter, but I have actually come to rely on it for a bit of a dev velocity boost.
I now have an ISBN (Three, in fact), and my wife is about halfway through finding way more typos than I expected. Seriously, I’ve read it cover to cover eight times now (not to mention that hundreds of people have read the book online) and yet so many minor mistakes have slipped through.
I’m still expecting the print book to be available around the end of the month, or possibly early September. The ebooks may be a little earlier.
There isn’t much LazyVim news this week. Folke is still on vacation so no distro-level changes have merged. I’ve noticed a lot of active development on Grug-far, but as far as I can tell it hasn’t changed to the point that I need to update any content.
I just noticed that I never sent out the Chapter 16 announcement (it’s sitting in my drafts folder). Sorry about that! It was a very nice e-mail, but I guess it’s out of date at this point, so I’ll keep it to myself…
Happy hacking everyone,
Dusty Phillips
