Spare a thought for a lonely Tiger tank this autumn. A poor comparison with how America preserves its unique battlefield relics. #TankTuesday #CultureofWar

#TankTuesday - Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. B Tiger II. First combat 18 July 1944. Too often dismissed as useless because of initial teething troubles. Their presence in the field, raised confidence & morale among all German troops.

Stop press - news incoming - research has found the Panther worked perfectly backwards. Thanks to the tank rescue department, it can now be confirmed the chassis was placed the wrong way round. https://t.co/WtDo3xq9r5 https://t.co/OcpPiAd1q2

Some of you may have seen me write/heard me utter the expression #ADayWithoutATankIsADayWasted. In the past few months I have been thinking quite a bit about what I think is the glorification of war & how war seems to have become something fun to some people. 1/5
