Camp Attendee Orientation

(re-sending so it's easily accessible and for those who registered since Wednesday)

Hi , Thank you for registering for DrupalCampNYC 2021. This email contains everything you need to know about the next two days. And yesterday, because that's helpful now... We’re excited that you’re joining us!

Code of Conduct

You agreed to abide by our Code of Conduct when you registered so please take a moment to review it. It also contains contact information for reporting any issues that arise in connection with the conference.

Hallway Track / Support / DrupalNYC Slack

This year our main “hallway track” is on DrupalNYC Slack.

Channel directory:

  • #camp-2021 - Network with other attendees throughout the conference and receive convenient and timely links to each session just before it starts
  • #camp-helpdesk - Get support from conference organizers
  • #camp-bixal - Interact with our Gotham sponsor, Bixal
  • #camp-esteemed - Interact with our Gotham sponsor, Esteemed

We directly invited you by email to join DrupalNYC Slack, but you can get a head start and:

Trainings

Trainings are on Thursday (full day) or Saturday (half day). You must have a training-specific ticket to join that training. You can still get training tickets (no need to select General Admission again).

Instructions for accessing each training are provided in an email directly to those with the relevant training ticket. Last minute registrants can find this information in the ticket confirmation email from Tito.

If you need any support getting into a training for which you have a ticket, please post in DrupalNYC Slack’s #camp-helpdesk channel and an organizer will get you squared away.

Trainings are not recorded by DrupalCampNYC and will not be published anywhere. Ask your trainer if they plan to record the training for your future reference.

Sessions

Most sessions are on Friday (10am-6pm EDT), but there are also three sessions on Thursday afternoon (2-5:30pm EDT), which form our DevOps Summit.

You are welcome to attend any of these sessions, which are hosted as Zoom meetings. Be sure to join the correct Zoom meeting by following the links on the website’s schedule or in our reminder messages on Slack.

The Zoom meeting password for every session is: bagels2021

Please do not share this password with anyone. You can direct anyone having trouble to DrupalNYC Slack’s #camp-helpdesk channel.

View the Schedule

Time zones on the schedule are displayed in your computer’s time zone. You can click “New York City” above the schedule to see the times in Eastern Daylight Time.

Click on a session in the schedule for its description, which includes the Zoom meeting link for that session and a link to a promo video for that session.

All sessions will be recorded and published on YouTube after the conference. A session recording may include your Zoom display name and any audio or video that you choose to share during the session.

Note sure what sessions you want to attend?

Networking Opportunities

The schedule includes a couple of “Open Networking” opportunities on Friday where you can connect with attendees in Zoom breakout rooms. Same password as the other sessions: bagels2021

Our Gotham sponsors are also hosting breaks on Friday with live raffles, which you won’t want to miss!

Coffee Break with Esteemed

Join for a chance to win a $250 Amazon Gift Card!

Come join Esteemed on Zoom for networking, learn more about our latest jobs and offerings, upcoming talks during DrupalCampNYC, or just to chat with other members. In the last five minutes of the networking session, we'll be doing a live raffle for a $250 Amazon Gift Card! To enter, all you need to do is show up, and be present during the time of the drawing. We'll handle the rest. We hope to see you there!

Lunch Break with Bixal

Halloween Movie Trivia with a $50 e-giftcard prize!

Bixal will be hosting a Halloween Movie Trivia game and the winner will be awarded a $50 e-gift card. We hope to see you there!

Thursday Social Events

After your training or DevOps Summit is over on Thursday, join us at one of two social events at 6:30pm EDT:

In-Person Social Hour - Live in Manhattan. Appetizers and drinks will be provided. COVID-19 vaccination proof required per NYC. If you don’t already have a ticket specific to the In-Person Social hour, grab one.

Online social hour - We'll be playing some games online (you'll need a computer for joining Zoom and a separate mobile device for playing the games - phone, tablet, etc.). Zoom link on the schedule. Same password as the other sessions: bagels2021

Thank You

Thank you for being a part of DrupalCampNYC 2021.

A special thank you to our generous sponsors that make this conference possible, especially out Gotham sponsors, Bixal and Esteemed!

And thank you to our talented speakers, without whom there would be no conference.

Looking forward to a great week!
