Hey now New York and greater Drupal family!

Join us for three days of FREE virtual trainings, uniquely NY sessions, BoFs, fun & interactive activities including trivia, professional networking, lightning talks, and contributions.

Registration is free, but we suggest a $20 donation to further the mission of the non-profit DrupalNYC.

Birds of a Feather

We are now accepting submissions for BoFs on a first-come, first-served basis.

Submit a BoF

Looking to attend some great BoFs before next Friday? Our New England neighbors are holding a BoFCon today at NEDCamp.

Trainings have strict capacity limits so don’t wait to register!

Note that we charge a refundable deposit for most of the trainings to ensure that the limited training slots are utilized. Upon attending the training, you can choose to receive a refund or donate your deposit to the DrupalNYC non-profit that stewards DrupalCampNYC and other Drupal programming and initiatives in the NY region.

If making a refundable deposit is a financial hardship, please reach out to us (camp@drupalnyc.org) so we can accommodate you.

Contribution Day

Saturday, November 14 is our Contribution Day. We especially want to welcome folks who haven’t yet contributed to the Drupal project and community. No experience with Drupal is necessary to get involved. There will be mentors available to answer all your questions and help make you a part of the greater Drupal community.

New to contributing? Plan to attend the First Time Contribution Workshop on Saturday afternoon, which is included with your conference registration.

Interactive activities

We’ll be announcing our schedule of fun interactive “hallway track” activities next week, including some unique professional networking opportunities, a panel discussion on accessibility, a help desk where you can get your specific Drupal questions answered, and some just-for-fun activities.

Sessions

Wait, there are sessions? Yes! While we are focusing on the interactive activities that we all miss from in-person conferences, we have a handful of “uniquely NY” sessions on Friday, November 13 including:

  • Striving for Inclusion Through Accessible Design at NYU Stern School of Business
  • Modernizing NYC's radio news using Drupal, AWS, and SalesForce
  • How NYPL Leverages Free Tools for CI/CD

Our full schedule will be announced next week, including a couple additional sessions.

Lightning talks

We’ll be dedicating time to short five-minute “lightning” talks on Friday, Nov 13. This is your opportunity to speak (briefly!) on a topic of your choice at DrupalCampNYC.

The topic can be about anything you think others might be interested in. You could give an overview of a module you just started using, explain how you overcame a problem, show off your latest creation, or speak about something not related to Drupal at all. All you need is a webcam. You can optionally share your screen to demo or walk through slides.

Come prepared to give a lightning talk! Requests will be taken first-come, first-served during the lighting talk block.
