DrupalCampNYC 2020 has arrived!

Hi ,

Tomorrow (Thursday) brings the start of the three-day DrupalCampNYC 2020.

If you haven’t already registered, there’s still time and you won’t want to miss the last North American DrupalCamp for at least three months!

Register now!

Registration is free, but we suggest a $20 donation to further the mission of the non-profit DrupalNYC.

How do I attend?

First, Register if you haven’t already. Then...

Trainings are held via Zoom

If you registered for a Thursday training, you should already have the Zoom meeting info (either in an email sent Wednesday morning or, if you registered after Tuesday, in your ticket confirmation email for the training).

If you registered for a Saturday training, you should expect an email with the Zoom meeting details on or before Friday.

Everything else is in Hopin

All the Friday activities and the Saturday afternoon Contribution Day are held via the Hopin virtual conference platform.

On Thursday you can also get comfortable with Hopin, chat with other attendees, and get support from the conference organizers.

Once you’ve registered, we encourage you to go ahead and:

Join the Hopin event now

By joining Hopin right away (you’ll need to create a Hopin account if you don’t already have one), you’ll ensure that you’re ready to dive into the activities on Friday and Saturday.

Get support

If you can’t find the Zoom meeting info for a training for which you registered, please email camp-training@drupalnyc.org or, for more immediate support, pop into the Camp Support booth in Hopin.

If you have trouble getting into Hopin, please join The #camp-discuss channel on DrupalNYC Slack. You can instead email camp@drupalnyc.org, but it will take longer for us to respond.

Note that we’re only using Slack during the conference to provide support for those who have trouble getting into Hopin so there’s no need to join DrupalNYC Slack.

Schedule (including interactive activities!)

Now is a great time to start planning which activities you will attend. The main conference day is Friday from 10am to 5pm EST followed by an afterparty on Zoom (link will be provided within Hopin), including some fun surprises.

Birds of a Feather

You can still submit a BoF in advance or you can ask an organizer in Hopin on Friday to create a BoF room for you.

Trainings

It’s not too late to register for a training.

Zoom details for any trainings you register for will be provided as part of your registration confirmation email.

Contribution Day

Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 5:30pm EST is our Contribution Day. We especially want to welcome folks who haven’t yet contributed to the Drupal project and community. No experience with Drupal is necessary to get involved. There will be mentors available to answer all your questions and help make you a part of the greater Drupal community.

New to contributing? Plan to attend the First Time Contribution Workshop on Saturday at 2pm EST, which is included with your conference registration.

Lightning talks

Come prepared to give a brief five-minute "lightning" talk on Friday at 1pm EST! Requests will be taken first-come, first-served during the lighting talk session.

Thanks to our sponsors

A huge thank you to our sponsors, who made it possible for the non-profit DrupalNYC and its volunteer organizers to produce this free conference. We’d especially like to thank our Gotham Sponsor, Drupal Contractors by esteemed for their outstanding support.

We also thank the Drupal Association for its stewardship of the Drupal project and Drupal.org.

Be sure to visit the Drupal Association and Drupal Contractors by esteemed in their Hopin booths on Friday.
