NOT a Soul Waker update (sorry)

bann.jpg

Hi guys,

You may have noticed a massive slow down on Soul Waker (and by slow down, I mean I did 4 pages and then haven't updated since December last year). There's a very boring reason for this:

I managed to tear my shoulders rotator cuff doing something incredibly un-impressive in the gym last summer. I won't bore you with the details but in short, it's only got worse and I'm struggling to find a comfortable position to draw in. Let alone find the energy for it.

Honestly it really, really sucks. I’ve had to stop my passion project and massively slow down on commissions.

But on the bright side, I finally have an appointment with a specialist next month where i'm hoping to finally make some healing progress beyond simply getting off my tits on pain killers!

Anyway, when I return to Soul Waker you will be notified via this newsletter as always. I just have no idea when that will be right now, but i'll keep you all posted. :)

In Other News

Whilst I'm trying to conserve my energy around my day job and kids, i've not been working on much. But I have started a very small blog called Web:roots.

Mostly it's a place where I ramble what's on my mind to my phone during my work commute or the school run. My phone dictates my voice to text, then I edit that text into a blog post.

It's also where I test a lot of my web development stuff so if things look broken, that's because it is! :D In classic y2k blog fashion, you'll have a better time on desktop than on a phone. But feel free to check it out. There's a comment section for each post if you want to reach out with your thoughts too.

Latest post: “Escaping the pandemic with Minecraft”

And that's it for now! Thanks for listening~
