Yarn crawl, sidewalk sale, new classes, and more!
Hello stitchers!
Summer is in full swing, which means that it’s almost time to kick off the 17th annual Chicago Yarn Crawl! The Dropped Stitch is proud to be one of the eighteen stores in the Chicago area, and for the duration of the event (July 26 to August 3) we’ll be offering 10% off all yarn purchases, free buttons, prizes, and a free shoulder-bag crochet pattern designed by our incredible instructor Jess Brewster!
But the fun doesn’t stop there! This year’s Yarn Crawl will coincide with the Andersonville Sidewalk Sale - so from July 25 to 27 we will also have a table outside full of goodies, and there will be live music and other attractions up and down Clark Street!
Also! Due to popular demand, we’ve added additional dates for Maggie’s Knitting 101 and Holger/Olga Sweater classes! The 101 class (formerly Learn to Knit) is great for total beginners, while the four-week sweater class is open to anyone who knows to knit and purl but wants to make a wearable garment. Book soon, because they will definitely fill up!
And finally, if you haven’t been in the store in a while, we’ve added tons of yarns, notions, and kits, including brand new stuff from HiKoo and Kiriki Press, and a brand-new store exclusive colorway from local dyer Sister Ananse.
