This Saturday, April 25, we’ll be one of the hundreds of stores worldwide (well, mostly continent-wide) celebrating Local Yarn Store Day! LYS Day is all about supporting the small, independently owned stores that keep this craft alive, and we’ll be hosting a couple of fun events:

Handmade fashion discount

Come in wearing something you made and get 15% off everything in the store. With your permission, we’ll also post a pic to our instagram page to show off what you’ve made!

Free gauge math zine

Want to replicate a pattern using a different gauge of yarn, but daunted by the math? It’s not as complicated as you might think - this eight-page mini-zine by friend of the store nasamuffin (Emily Shaffer) has everything you need to know.

New crochet class dates

We’ve also just added new dates for two popular beginner-friendly crochet classes:

• Learn to Crochet (Saturdays, May 30, June 6, and June 13)

• Crochet a Granny Square Tote (Sundays, June 7 and 14)
