New yarns and classes (and a sale on Knitting 102)!

First off, thank you so much to everyone who visited us during Andersonville Arts Weekend, and especially everyone who contributed a piece for our show! It was so much fun to put everything up and turn our little story into an art gallery for three days, and I can’t wait to do it again next year.

If you haven’t been by the store in a few weeks, you’ve missed out on a lot of new stuff! We’ve got brand new yarn - everything from the muted, seaside tones of Aran-weight Cliffs of Moher to the vibrant neon colors of Sister Ananse Yarn.

Plus, we have all 20 colors of the brand new Morris DK line from UK-based West Yorkshire Spinners. They collaborated with the William Morris Society to create a gorgeous palette of earth and jewel tones, based on the famed wallpaper and textile designs of William Morris, the polymath pioneer of the Arts & Crafts movement, using a combination of three heritage wools (Bluefaced Leicester, Masham, and Kerry Hill). They’ve also published six new Morris-inspired patterns using this yarn.

We’ve also got some new classes on the calendar, and a special deal: Knitting 102 (starting this Sunday!) is now 18% off. If you know the basics but want more guidance on topics like increasing/decreasing, fixing mistakes, and fancy stretchy bind-offs, give this class a try!

We’ve also got a couple of delightful colorwork mitten classes (Halibut and Flower, depending on which kingdom of life you prefer), new dates for our Embroidery Basics, and a brand new class on making the Spectra Scarf, where you’ll learn techniques like short rows and intarsia while making a gorgeous color-changing design by Stephen West.

Happy sweater season, and please stay safe out there.
