New classes and new yarn!
Hello! Hope everyone’s holiday gift projects are coming along nicely (it’s ok if you haven’t started yet, I won’t tell). Classes have kicked off at The Dropped Stitch and I’m excited to announce a couple of new ones:
Make a Log Cabin Blanket with Jen: this beginner-friendly three-week course will teach you the building blocks for creating modular “log cabin” style blankets. This simple technique can be used to build eye-popping 3D designs or just use up leftover yarn, and the piecemeal construction means you can build your blanket on the bus!
By popular demand, we’re offering a two-week introductory crochet class taught by Jess Brewster. You’ll learn the basic techniques (how to hold your hook, chain stitch, single crochet, and decreases) and put them to work making your own warm winter cap. By the way, did you know crafting classes make great holiday gifts?
New yarn is also available at the shop! Just restocked Malabrigo Caracol and Worsted in tons of new colors, plus a new line (Mechita, a single-ply 100% superwash merino in fingering weight). We also have fresh Manos del Uruguay Franca and Marla, and (I’m really excited about these) the new Alegria Sock Kits in every color they have. Still time to knock out a pair before 12/25…
See you around soon!
