Extreme makeover, concerto edition
Dispatches from the Imperfection Lab
Okay first of all, there wasn’t a practice video last week, even though I totally made one. What happened was that I TOTALLY CHICKENED OUT.
I made a practice video demonstrating how I sing while I practice to make sense in my head of multi-voice music. Thing is, my singing is embarrassingly bad in it, and I didn’t think I cared (it’s authentic! you all know I am not a professional singer!) but then I realized…I kind of did. So I ended up not posting it.
Sorry, but at least now you don’t have to be subjected to my horrible singing.
Anyway, enjoy this week’s video, in which I play a before and after of the opening of the Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel Sonata/Concerto. I do a lot of talking in the video, which I apparently am totally fine with, even though singing is the same as talking, you just move your voice up and down.
