Red at Night and Marc-Alan Prince are two solo acts with punk history and a shared love of travel. Now, they’re releasing a limited edition split record on DCxPC Live. Pre-orders begin on April 15 and the album is slated for release on May 3.

Al, who goes by Red at Night, is from Italy currently living in Berlin. Marc-Alan Prince’s hometown is Austin, TX. Marc-Alan Prince is not only a solo artist but also the drummer of the Milwaukee pop-punk band Avenues. Marc-Alan Prince has played in 47 of the 50 states, 8 countries in Europe, and even in South Africa across the fifteen years of touring. He’s toured both as a solo artist and in bands including Knockin Bones, Avenues, and Buried Cities. In the last two years, Red at Night has performed over 80 shows in eleven countries.

 In May 2024, Red at Night and Marc-Alan Prince embarked on their first tour together through Europe. “I just love how fun it is to tour with Red At Night. Whether it's in the states or in Europe, touring with him is just so much fun. We can be driving in the car together for half an hour, totally silent. Then one of us will say something, and we just start laughing for the next hour. We just get along really well,” Marc-Alan Prince notes. The two had such a good time together that they decided to do it again, this time in the Midwest USA. “But the thing I love the most is how great he is on stage. Every night he pushes me to be better, and I love that,” he adds.

On this team up tour through the midwest USA, the two celebrated releases of new EPs across ten days. In September 2024, Marc-Alan Prince released his EP Unforgiven and Red at Night released his EP With the Radio On. 

Like many DIY tours for musicians seem to go, there were ups and downs. Unfortunately, Marc-Alan Prince had much of his personal belongings stolen the night of their stop in Chicago. However, they forged ahead to the last stop of the tour in Austin, TX.

At Kick Butt Coffee in Austin, on September 21, 2024, Marc-Alan Prince and Red at Night put on a packed, friend filled show. That show was captured and now to be released on vinyl thanks to DCxPC Live.

DCxPC Live, is a fiercely independent record label currently based in New York's Hudson Valley. DCxPC live specializes in capturing the raw energy of underground music through limited-edition vinyl releases, immortalizing electrifying live performances from hardcore, punk, ska, and metal bands. Each short-run pressing is carefully curated to preserve these intense moments of musical history. On working with Scott Pasch of DCxPC, Marc-Alan Prince sang his praises. “Working with DCXPC Live has definitely been a pleasure. I remember meeting Scott for the first time in Florida, and the thing I remember most was his energy. And he has still kept up that energy and enthusiasm to this day. During the process to get this record done, there was a moment when I was exhausted and didn't really have it in me to complete one of the tasks we needed to do. So, I called Scott, and we talked for a few minutes. Right after that conversation, I was like, 'Okay, yeah, I can do it!' That was just me feeding off that love and energy he has.” 

On April 15, 2025, DCxPC Live Vol. 34 Presents Marc-Alan Prince and Red At Night will be available for pre-order with a limited run of only 40 records. Each pre-order is also an entry into a giveaway for  VMLive Vol. 34 Apocalypse Hoboken. To celebrate their collaboration, Marc-Alan Prince and Red at Night are on tour with 24 dates across Europe, including Berlin and Italy. The tour kicks off on May 3 in Berlin and ends in Prague on May 31.
