Issue 19 - Starting back up
After a long hiatus, I’m starting the newsletter up once again! So welcome to the latest edition of this newsletter. I’m Daniel Imfeld, and here I share things I’ve read recently, updates on what I’ve been working on, and occasionally nascent blog post drafts.
The main reason for restarting is that I’m starting a new article series on working with geographic data. I’ve spent a lot of time doing this in the past 8 years, and it is definitely its own niche with a lot of specialized terms and libraries.
Since the last issue, I’ve written a number of articles, including topics like Setting up LetsEncrypt, Processing Streaming Uploads with Axum, and a short post on working with nested Result and Options in Rust.
Look for posts coming soon on topics like GeoJSON, PostGIS, and writing apps with Svelte and Leaflet. This will probably culminate in some books and video courses as well.
If you’ve ever been confused trying to work with geographic data or found anything hard to understand, please let me know and I’ll try to cover it. Otherwise, watch this space for upcoming articles, snippets, and interesting links. Thanks for reading!
