The Delight of Watching the Demise of an Organization

The romance genre is still not taken seriously— no surprise since its a feminized genre. But while we hail Jedis and Yodas as the icons of culture, romance is seen as formulaic and unbelievable.

Since it is a multi-billion dollar industry, there are structures in place that regulate it, and to the surprise of no one, there is bs that goes on there. I’m trying this year to not derive joy from watching drama, there is a lot going on with the Romance Writer’s Association of America, namely trying to silence someone who is calling out racism.

Some say social media/twitter creates a surveillance state, but those that don’t like it have something to hide.
