Life Isn't Hard When You have a Library Card
I reached my goal of reading 75 books in 2021. This included reading for pleasure and reading for my dissertation. If it sounds like I am bragging, it's because I'm bragging. I rarely reach such lofty goals I set out for myself. It is really important to me to retain my identity as a reader, something that I've held, well, since I could read.
Remember, I am always happy to curate customized book reading lists for you if you don't know where to start.
The best:
All's Well by Mona Awad (if you like magic realism and chronic pain)
In the Quick by Kate Hope Day (If you like astronaut problems)
Fake Accounts by Lauren Oyler (if you like being very online)
Nobody's Talking About this By Patricia Lockwood (if you like...not sure how to describe this one)
Animal by Lisa Taddeo (if you like dark stories about broken women)
Dancing With the Octopus by Debora Harding (if you like trauma memoirs)
The Librarian and the Orc by Finley Fenn (if you like smut, libraries, and orcs)
Last Call by Elon Green (if you like true crime that focuses on the victim's lives)
Books, there's still time to impress me before the end of 2021. I'm not afraid to add to this list!
