End of Line

Continuing my completely subjective decade end film follies!

Now, the best movies (films? Should I say films?) that have an ending that made me squeal with delight, shook me to my core, or made me think about the film long afterwards.

  1. Holy Motors (2010)

You’d think by the end you’d believe anything, but then the cars start talking to each other.

  1. Good Time (2017)

Predictable but still, I’ve never felt so anxious watching a film.

  1. Faults (2014)

Just trust me.

  1. Mother! (2017)

“I have nothing more to give.”

  1. First Reformed (2017)

Whoa. Whoa.

  1. Cabin in the Woods (2011)

The scene where the elevators get to the lobby at the same time is the most terrifying moment in any movie.

  1. Nymphomaniac (2013)

Typical for Lars von Trier, not typical for a person with human emotions.

  1. Coherence (2013)

It’s the small choices that make movies great. The movie could have gone on for 5 more seconds and it wouldn’t have been as good.

  1. The Skin I Live In (2011)

Typical for an Almadovar film, however…

  1. Suspiria (2018)

The definition of “that escalated quickly.” Also, how do I join?
