Editing Life

2026-04-15

I write to you from a blur of words spinning in my brain, scattered around notebooks, and dripping from the ceiling. At least it feels like that — and I am really so grateful. I can stay abreast of the words, just so, and love chasing them, double-checking, re-writing. I’m in the middle of my second manuscript-length proofreading job in a month, editing a lil bit of grant narrative, and about to read a cache of stories to do some macro-level editorial work.

I am giddy and I am typing this fast! I also decided this was the week to learn how to save the bulbs of the Easter tulips and hyacinths. Does anyone know how to do that? I will report back in about one year.
