#85 - Interactive web experiences for storytelling
Hello! π
This week, I found a few different projects that explore storytelling through interactive web experiences. From turning 2D photographs to 3D graphics and augmenting them with audio snippets, to creating a web experiment to explore the world of poet David Whyte, it reminded me of how much I miss seeing the web being used as a platform for interactive art.
Enjoy!

Projects
Student project by Gary Sandoz at Ecal, Reminix explores our relationship to memories. Scanning diapositives renders 3D interactive images on the screen accompanied with an AI-generated audio description creating an alternative story.
Aside from the AI-generated alternative stories, I personally like the idea of using 2D physical photographs, augmenting them with a 3rd dimension and accompanying it with audio snippets to create a more interesting way to explore your memories.
Interactive experimental website blending poetry, art and sound to evoke memory and emotion.
A mixed reality storytelling experience. I got a bit surprised stumbling onto this one as itβs a collaboration between Active Theory and Dow Jones, however, I really like the aesthetics.
Currently in beta, Shape Mapper is a Processing library for projection mapping.
