Marvel’s Voices: Pride 2024 (X-Men: The Wedding Special #1) was released recently as well! Kieron Gillen wrote the main story about Mystique/Destiny (yesss!); my smol contribution is a story involving Emma Frost and “relationship counseling.” I loved the other stories as well. :3 If you enjoy Marvel comics, I hope you’ll consider checking it out!

What are you working on?
Still at work on CODE & CODEX; sidelined by health stuff. (Yes, my agent is aware.) Next in queue is Moonstorm trilogy #3: CROWNWORLD. I’m not contracted for any books after that.
I was accepted to the part-time/distance M.A. in film/TV/game scoring at ThinkSpace, which I’m so thrilled by! That starts mid-September. By then I should have turned in the delivery drafts for both books, or be very close to it for CROWNWORLD. I’m hoping to write on spec during the M.A. as I could use the break from book deadlines!
What are you reading lately?
Y’all, I was lucky enough to score an ARC of James S. A. Corey’s THE MERCY OF GODS, the first of a new sf series. I’m betraying my age but this is like William Sleator’s HOUSE OF STAIRS meets Cherryh’s FADED SUN meets body horror and alien imperialists and puzzles of microbiology. Terrific fun and I am praying there will be MOAR BODY HORROR.
I am already RIDE OR DIE for Dafyd and Jessyn. :3
What are you listening to lately?
Predictably, I’m loving Soojin’s EP Rizz. I think “Drop Top” may be my favorite track but they’re all great!

I’ve been enjoying Wyrding Studios’ jewelry! Incredibly beautiful.
What’s something new you’ve picked up?
If it counts, a couple weeks ago, I harvested MY VERY FIRST STRAWBERRY and shared it with my husband. It was tiny but delicious.
What’s a craft you’ve tried lately?
I may have taken up box-making. Because rectangles?? It’s a work in progress.
What’s a game you’re playing lately?
I’ve dipped my toes into Fights in Tight Spaces on the Steam Deck, which is a deckbuilder with a terrain/spatial component. Super interesting!
What’s a TV show you’ve enjoyed recently?
My husband and I are enjoying the anime Kaiju No. 8, which at the moment is the best kind of shounen. Japan is being invaded by eldritch kaiju! There are squads to fight them! Also possibly one of the squad members has…a secret…:)
