Upcoming shows and newsletter change

Destroy all Destroyers

~ This already happened. You can’t change it, but you can visit if you clean up after yourself.~

Dead Sharp is now on all streaming platforms

My last email announced my latest solo album release Burzum Funtime. Thanks to everyone who checked it out. Those of you who purchased a copy are the world’s greatest humans (If you have not, you can get my whole discography for $14.95). I understand bandcamp.com is not the most accessible for those who don’t purchase music regularly, but prefer the convenience of streaming services. Well, you are in luck. Hit this link to find me on all the majors.

Burzum Funtime, now streaming on all services. Mostly.

Upcoming Free Static performances in Eugene and Portland

June 17th at Wandering Goat

Free Static - my collaboration with Chris Ruiz - is playing two shows in June and July. The first is at the Wandering Goat, Tuesday June 17th, 6:30pm, $10, All Ages. The Goat used to put on a lot of music prior to the pandemic and they recently started booking shows again, which is great, because Eugene is in serious need for all ages venues. This is an early show, and being a coffee house, is a great place for the under 21 set to feel welcome.

If you follow the nosie world at all, you might recognise some of the names on this list, Free Static is stoked to be able to be on the same stage.

July 12 at Turn! Turn! Turn! (PDX)

This one is also all ages. It’s mantinee show so you can get on with your busy evening. Check us out at Turn Turn Turn in Portland on Saturday, July 12th at 3pm.

Featuring:

Don Haugen (Eugene)
Free Static (Eugene)
Trigger Object
Spiritual Exit

Newsletter update

This is boring housekeeping, but I’m switching newsletter platforms. In the next couple weeks you’ll receive an email from Buttondown.com asking you to confirm your email address again. Please do this if you want to keep getting updates from me. If not, well then our time has come. May the road rise to meet you and all that jazz.

No major reason for the change other than the usual suspects - a once cool platform has become a bloated social media network that also has had a lot of controversy allowing Nazis to publish as well. Substack is free so it makes it easy for anyone to start a low-key newsletter and not feel burdened by the monthly cost. Free also means you have no skin in the game. I decided it was worth paying for the service. I want to write more than I have been, and it seems worth it to me to use a more straight-forward service that is only trying to be one thing. Anyway, look for the email. I’ll holler at you soon.
