New Event: **EXTRA** Constraining Cosmology with Cluster Weak Lensing
Title: EXTRA Constraining Cosmology with Cluster Weak Lensing Speaker: Prof David Weinberg (Ohio State University) Date: 2026-03-17 • 02:00 PM - 03:00 PM Location: Module 15, Sala 201
Abstract: The abundance of massive galaxy clusters is, in principle, a powerful probe of the growth of matter clustering in the universe. In practice, however, precision cosmology with clusters --- whether identified with X-rays, SZ decrement, or galaxy overdensity --- have been limited by systematic uncertainties associated with cluster selection and the calibration andscatter of the mass-observable relation.
