Introducing PowerLibs: my biggest project yet

Hey friends,

Dennis here 👋 It’s been a while since my last update and I know I’ve been quiet. But for a good reason.

Earlier this year, I posted a video sharing three hacks for better Power Apps. In that video, I included a tiny component library. Just 10 items in a Notion list. To my surprise, people really liked it. I even got messages of developers out there wanting more. That little experiment gave me an idea.

Fast-forward five months (and a lot of train rides to and from work spent coding), and today I can finally share the result with you:

👉 PowerLibs

So what is PowerLibs?
It’s a copy-and-paste component library for Power Apps. Instead of importing messy files or rebuilding the same UI blocks over and over, you just copy YAML code and drop it directly into your app.

And the cool thing, it works for every dev out there:

  • New to Power Apps? You can skip the annoying part of learning how to build nice looking app components and get great-looking apps instantly

  • Experienced dev? You’ll save hours by reusing ready-made sidebars, accordions, app shells, and more

On top of that, PowerLibs comes with:

  • ⚡ Quick settings → tweak colors, sizes, and options with just a few clicks

  • 🌗 Dark and light mode themes → switch instantly without rebuilding your components

  • 🎨 Consistent design system → all components share the same modern look and feel

  • 🔄 Copy-paste simplicity → no imports, no hassle, just grab the YAML and drop it in

Some early users even told me they built a working tool during a phone call with their manager. Others said it gave them fresh ideas for apps they wouldn’t have thought of otherwise. And the biggest benefit users talked about was that it saved a huge amount of their time.

⚡ Right now, there are still 14 lifetime access tickets left. After those are gone, PowerLibs will switch to a subscription model. If you want lifetime access (plus all future updates), now’s the time: Grab yours here.

If you just want to play around, there are also free components you can test right away.

What’s next?
PowerLibs is not finished yet. It’s just getting started. I have a lot of ideas and I’ll be adding new components and features in the coming weeks. Think of it as a library that keeps growing with every update.

This feels like a full circle moment for me. When I started, I shared small tips and components on YouTube and people asked if they could actually use what I built.

Now, with PowerLibs, I finally have the perfect way to share them. From here on, every time I build a new component (or even a full app) in a video, I’ll add it directly into PowerLibs. That means you don’t just watch me build, but you can copy and paste the exact same thing into your own app.

And honestly, I love this, because this is exactly what I wanted when I started: a way to build, share, and make things instantly usable for others.

A quick note:
I’ve built all of this solo, and PowerLibs is still very fresh. That means there might be bugs here and there. I’m working on fixing them as I go and I’d be super grateful if you let me know whenever you run into something odd. Your feedback will help me make it better and faster.

Thanks for sticking with me during the quiet weeks. Now that the foundation is built, I’ll be back with more videos, more tips, and more newsletters.

Catch you soon,
Dennis 🚀
