The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off June 11. Now is the time to get your club organized and run a contest.

There will be two options available:

- Calcutta style Auction - available now!
- Predictions Contest - available later this week

For the auction, you can choose to pay out:

- Quarterfinalists and on
- Semifinalists and on
- Finalists

In all three cases, there are also prizes for worst blowout loss in group stage and the worst overall performance in group stage. This way you can ensure that there will be bidding on the minnows of the pools.

For the Predictions contest, you will have options for what you choose to use and how to score it but the base set will include picking the group winners, the finalists, the overall winner, and the Golden Boot. I will send an update when that contest is live, but expect it in the next couple of days.

Small print on tie breakers:

Worst group stage loss is by goal difference, with fewest goals scored the tiebreak. So a 0-5 loss is worse than a 1-6 defeat. After that, split the prize.

Worst team overall has fewest points, then worst goal difference, then fewest goals scored. After that, split the prize.
