When I started Degen.club and built it out, I knew I wanted to make the life of an Organizer easier, and I wanted a site your club members would enjoy.

The single most important thing, though, was to have multiple contest types ready for the start of the NFL season.

I sacrificed all kinds of usability for the goal of getting picks and survivor working.

And I got what I wanted. I went to Bet Bash in August of 2024 and I had three contest types available. I launched with my crew and we were able to run our contests on the site. It worked!

But there were definitely some bumps in the road for how people (both organizers and non-organizers alike) logged in and did things they needed to do.

Even in year two, I found myself focusing on contest improvements and expanding contest offerings.

This year I am coming back to the basic user experience.

One way you will see that in action right now as soon as you hit the login form. That’s right, you see the options for logging in with Google, Facebook, and Yahoo!

For new members it is a snap - they just choose to register that way. If you already HAVE a registered user, you can still enable login with one of those popular systems. Just go to your Profile Page and under your contact information select which system you want to link to.

Once you confirm that you want to use that system to log in, the next time you come in you can just select button and away you go.

You might notice something else on that Profile page, too. Payment Methods.

Now you can list what Payment methods you use.

Soon your organizer will be able to use those to better send you requests for dues, and also send prize money back to you.

The whole point of the site is to make it easier to run contests. Listing your PayPal or Venmo information right on the site is just one less thing to have to communicate in email.

I will update here as more functionality around this rolls out, but for now go ahead and get your own social login and payment methods configured, and make it easier than before to use the site.
