This week is the first after the Fantasy Football Expo in Canton, Ohio. It was great to talk to so many people about their leagues and what they do on the side. It was inspiring and I hope that some of you on this list now as a result of joining the site will continue the conversation with me, and also give Degen.club a try this season to add something extra to their league, or just formalize add-ons they have been doing all along.

What I do hear is give updates on what is being added to Degen.club, what new contests are available, and also a behind-the-scenes look at how I add things.

This week I added odds on props.

Again, if you are new you might not realize that Degen.club can also help you manage props that you and your friends engage in. This is especially helpful for long term ones.

For instance a while back a friend of mine in town saw a change in traffic pattern on a busy street and said “I bet they’ll rip that out in a year.” So we made a bet on it! We tracked it on the site, and a year later we resolved it. No looking through email or digging through text messages to figure out the terms, it was all recorded.

Previously the props were all treated as even money. Now you can set odds. So if you want insurance around something or an incentive, go ahead and offer a prop around it: “I’ll give 5-to-1 that I won’t finish this book before my next book club meeting.” They’ll rush to take that offer and now you have a damn good reason to finish!

You can’t see Props without starting your own club, but you have 30 days to try it, so why not?
