Evan Fleischer: So what’s your novel about? Generally? And where are you at with it? 

Aaron Burch: I have a novel (my first!), YEAR OF THE BUFFALO, coming out in the spring. But I think we’re curious about currently-in-progress novels? That one is a 90s youth group lock-in novel. I’m… I think somewhere around 100 pages in. This might change — this is very much in progress, “best laid plans,” “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth,” as Mike Tyson said — but the idea right now is hour-by-hour chapters. I have the first 5-½, almost 6 hours/chapters written.
