KIJK x 87 = ?

87 magazines from 1975-1982. Yes, yesterday was King’s day in the Netherlands and instead of wasting my money on beer, I wasted it on 87 issues of an old pop-science dutch magazine called ‘KIJK’. To be fair, I was looking to buy only a couple issues but the guy who sold it to me said that he hoped someone would buy them all. To be honest, I really wanted them all… What I didn’t want was to walk home with 13,8 kg of paper.

Apart from the pain of carrying them, now I have a lot of raw material for my scans and collages! You can expect old photographs, old news, old innovations, old adverts and a healthy amount of airbrushed illustrations. Here are a few scans to give you a taste:
