Just a short note to let you know, or remind you that my new band, The Side Hustlers, is playing an honest-to-goodness SHOW, on TUESDAY, June 30, 2026! The show is at the famous club “Holy Diver”, at 1300 St. Bernard Avenue, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

We have the incredible luck of being chosen to play FIRST, so, please, come at 9 or before, because we want to get going about 9:15. Please, please. Don’t miss the damn show. (The other bands are good too, and you should plan on staying all night long, but if you want to see us in particular, the window for that is on the earlier side.)

Oh, what do we sound like? Somebody called it “garage R&B”. (O.K., it was Ken. But we probably could have gotten some discerning, trusted culture reviewer to call us that, had we wanted to.) It’s still rock and roll to me. So said the piano man, and so say all of we. (NB: No Billy Joel songs will be played. On the other hand, fans of Little Milton, Bobby Bland, Wilson Pickett, Tyrone Davis, etc, are likely to recognize this sort of musical thing.)

Come out, come out. Wherever you are. If you can’t get a sitter or a plane ticket, we’ll see you at the next one.
