I know you signed up for my newsletter to hear about art and bands and stuff.

We're all in agreement that NO ONE, no American soldier, would obey Trump's order to drop a nuclear bomb, if he gave the order. Right? No one that depraved would be admitted into the armed forces. Such a person would be a psychopath; it would be apparent to anybody.

Right?

So why do they drop regular bombs on civilians and civilian infrastructure? Why do they obey those orders? Is it really just the size of the explosion? I know in some senses, the soldiers are able to really see the destruction Trump can do, and they seem to be the people's last hope to stop it. This is the first time in my life I've wished for a military coup in my own country. It seems like an effective and possible way of getting this decaying, doddering, ball of cruelty and narcissism out of the White House.

Congress has decided not to take a vote, even the Democrats who presumably don't care for the war won't force their Republican friends to go to a roll call and vote against it. So, the people are not represented, on either side, and this demented dotard gets to throw himself one last atomic birthday party if he wants. He gets to watch a whole civilization burn. I'm sure he'd love to see the United States burn even more, but Persia might have to be his consolation prize.

We, the people, are not represented. Probably the strongest words in opposition to this insane king we've heard came from Marjorie Taylor Greene, and she kicked herself out of Congress (and I'm sure she had a lot of helping hands to push her out the door). Our Congressmen and Congresswomen are not comprehending and taking their place in history. November is too long to wait. Our President's daily objective is killing people. That's what he wants to do. He doesn't care about any strategic objectives, he doesn't have any, he doesn't know what they might be. No. He wants to feel what it feels like to kill people before he himself dies.

But sure, let's throw up our hands. We're busy raising funds for the midterms. We're going back to the moon.

I do have one art thing to mention. I'm going to be showing some work this Saturday, April 11 at the Arts Park in Arabi, Louisiana, if the world makes it that long. I was planning to send a newsletter about it, and I will, when I find out what time I'm supposed to be there. It'll be a fun one, with pictures.

Thanks again for subscribing. I really appreciate all of you. You can always unsubscribe if you feel like it's not a good deal anymore.

I guess the most surprising thing in this newsletter is finding out that Arabi has an arts festival. I'm sorry I won't be able to make that one. Not because I think the world will end by then (if I were being rained hell upon, I'd probably be confabbing with others with an eye to the big 250th celebration, but I digress) but because I'm a thousand miles away. Much like your art, I appreciate your perspective. And I love your newsletter!
