I met the illustrator-organizer Soumya Dhulekar a few years ago. She’s a comrade and does excellent organizing work in addition to her art. We’ve been talking about school finance recently since I live in a Community Educational Council that’s in her political purview, specifically thinking about green schools and finance in NYC.

I sent her an advance copy of my book to see what she thought of it, and she’s done something amazing: she illustrated an early section where I lay out a super-expropriation index for school finance.
