Plundered is Available Tomorrow!
Can you help spread the word?
Good morning from beautiful Spokane, WA. After a few days in Portland for the Christian Community Development Association conference, I flew over the mountains on Saturday.
Yesterday I preached at Immanuel Spokane, pastored by my good friend Rob Fairbanks. This morning, before flying home, I’ll talk about the new book with a group of pastors gathered by Whitworth University.
And tomorrow… Plundered will be officially released! The first week of a book’s life is pretty important and there are two things you can do that would be really helpful. First, tomorrow (October 8) you can post something about the book on social media. If you already have the book you can post a picture. Most helpful would be a short blurb about why you’re excited about the book with a link to your favorite bookseller.
Second, once you’ve read the book you can leave a review at Amazon or Goodreads. Even if you bought the book elsewhere (hint, hint), a review on those sites goes a long way to helping others find it.
It’s been great getting to interact with different groups about the book during this past week: the book release in Bronzeville on Sunday, CCDA on Thursday, and here in Spokane this weekend. Discovering that there are people who have intuited the connection between racial and environmental injustice and are longing for relationship of care and affection with their places has been deeply encouraging. Thanks to each of you for your interest and encouragement throughout this project.
