Five links for your inbox from this week.
1. Avoid ingredients with this genius iOS shortcut
Ross Wintle posted this brilliant shortcut on Mastodon yesterday – it’s pure genius!
2. Meta can’t use personal data for tracking ads
Meta has been prohibited from using personal data for tracking ads and fined €380m for illegal use of personal data since 2018.
Meta tried to “bypass” GDPR by adding a clause to their T&Cs, but now need explicit opt-in consent (with ‘yes/no’ options) to use personal data from these ads.
3. Classic Windows ski game
This somewhat nostalgic game has an unexpected ending – I won’t ruin it for you…
4. Monocraft
A Minecraft-inspired monospaced font.
5. Mastodon Followgraph
“This tool allows you to expand your connection graph and find new people to follow. It works by looking up your “follows’ follows”.”
This is a super helpful tool to rediscover people you followed on Twitter that weren’t picked up by other automated tools.
Projects + other things
