Postkort fra 2048: The Universal Studio Network

The Universal Studio Network

Morten,

The Universal Studio Network hit ten years this month. Every municipality with a library now has a recording booth, mixing desk, and production suite—booked through the same app as meeting rooms, zero cost, zero gatekeeping.

Henrik recorded his first album in the Valby branch last week. Not a demo. A real album, with the same mics Nørrebro used for that jazz record that charted in Sweden. Signe's podcast has better sound than most radio. Lars complained the studios would be "trashed by amateurs," then spent forty hours last month editing his audiobook there.

No one asks if you're "professional enough" anymore. You book Tuesday at 7 PM, you make something, you leave. The gear is good because the city maintains it like they maintain the roads.

Turns out when you remove the $200/hour barrier, a lot more people have something to say.

Recording something this weekend?

Igor
