Kære Alma,

The presentation is tomorrow and I have done it seven times in front of Bastian and he just blinks. I don't know if that means it's good or if cats can't tell.

The thing is, I drew the dragon for the cover and the school tablet keeps "improving" it. Every time I open the file the wings are different. More correct, it says. The little blue line shows me where a real bone would go. But the dragon isn't real, Alma, that's the whole point. I turned the helper off twice and it came back on by itself the third time. I think it thinks it is being kind.

Mum says just present it with the old drawing and don't open the file again. She is probably right. She usually is when she is not tired.

It's hot here today, the kind of hot where the building hums louder than usual. I sat on the floor by the window where it's coolest and Bastian came and sat on my foot. He is heavy. It helped a bit.

Wish me luck. Or just blink at me through the screen tomorrow at ten.
