The Neighborhood AI turned three this year. Every street collective in Copenhagen trains its own assistant—local needs, local data, local governance. Ours knows the bakery opens ten minutes early on Thursdays, remembers who needs help with snow clearing, and can translate the housing co-op bylaws into plain Danish (finally).

Nørrebro's AI is chattier than Østerbro's. Amager's knows cycling routes by heart. Vesterbro's has opinions about noise complaints that somehow defuse arguments before they start.

No cloud, no surveillance, no selling your questions to advertisers. Just a server in the community center and quarterly votes on what it should learn next.

Lars complained it would become "digital HOA tyranny." He's now on the training committee. His contribution: teaching it to recognize sarcasm.

Turns out people trust AI more when it's run by the same people who organize the street party.
